Article L6223-8 of the French Labour Code

The employer must ensure that the apprenticeship supervisor receives training that enables him/her to carry out his/her duties properly and to keep abreast of developments in the content of the training given to the apprentice and the qualifications that validate it.

A collective agreement at company or branch level may define the procedures for implementing and paying for such training.

L’employeur veille à ce que le maître d’apprentissage bénéficie de formations lui permettant d’exercer correctement sa mission et de suivre l’évolution du contenu des formations dispensées à l’apprenti et des diplômes qui les valident.

Un accord collectif d’entreprise ou de branche peut définir les modalités de mise en œuvre et de prise en charge de ces formations.
