The officers mentioned in Articles L. 1421-1 and L. 1435-7 are competent to inspect medical biology laboratories, the places where medical biology examinations are carried out as provided for in Articles L. 6211-13 and L. 6211-18, the structures responsible for logistics and computer data hosting and external quality assessment bodies.
The agents mentioned in the first paragraph also have a right of access to files held by the national accreditation body concerning the accreditation of medical biology laboratories.
The officials mentioned in articles L. 1421-1 and L. 1435-7 who are doctors or pharmacists shall have access, as part of their medical biology inspection duties, to all individual medical data necessary for the performance of their duties, in compliance with article 226-13 of the Criminal Code.
The agents mentioned in the previous paragraphs are not authorised to inspect the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé as part of the quality control of medical biology examinations provided for in Article L. 6221-10 .
Medical biology laboratories under the authority of the Minister for Defence are inspected in accordance with the provisions of Article L. 1421-3-1 and, for laboratories on the list provided for in Article L. 6147-7, Article L. 1435-7-3.
