Article L645-6 of the French Commercial code

If the debtor is put in default or sued by a creditor during the course of the proceedings, the judge may, at the debtor’s request, defer payment of the sums due for up to four months and order, for the same period, the suspension of any enforcement proceedings initiated by the creditor.

Si le débiteur est mis en demeure ou poursuivi par un créancier au cours de la procédure, le juge commis peut, à la demande du débiteur, reporter le paiement des sommes dues dans la limite de quatre mois et ordonner, pour cette même durée, la suspension des procédures d’exécution qui auraient été engagées par le créancier.


Toute stipulation contraire est réputée non écrite.
