Article L722-17 of the French Commercial code

Commercial court judges are required to undergo initial and continuing training organised under conditions set by decree.
Any commercial court judge who has not met the initial training requirement within a period set by decree is deemed to have resigned.

Les juges des tribunaux de commerce sont tenus de suivre une formation initiale et une formation continue organisées dans des conditions fixées par décret.
Tout juge d’un tribunal de commerce qui n’a pas satisfait à l’obligation de formation initiale dans un délai fixé par décret est réputé démissionnaire.
