Items of correspondence, under the conditions defined by the Office des postes et télécommunications, may be sent against reimbursement.
For the recovery of cheques remitted to it pursuant to this sub-section, the Office des postes et télécommunications may not invoke the obligations incumbent on the bearer of a cheque under the laws and regulations.
From the time the items have been remitted to the debtor or the addressee, the Office des postes et télécommunications shall be liable for the sums collected or which should have been collected. Where these sums have been converted into money orders or credited to a postal current account, the Office’s liability is the same as in the case of money orders or postal cheque service vouchers.
Claims concerning cash-on-delivery items are received within two years of the date of deposit.
