Article L781-2 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

For the application of this Title in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, New Caledonia, French Polynesia and the Wallis and Futuna Islands:
1° A financial institution is defined in accordance with Article L. 722-2.
A financial institution thus defined may also be a financial holding company, a payment institution or a portfolio management company.
References to financial institutions within the meaning of 4° of Article L. 511-21 are replaced by references to financial institutions within the meaning of Article L. 722-2;
2° The word “branch” and the expression “banking service” are designated in accordance with Article L. 722-2.

Pour l’application du présent titre à Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, en Nouvelle-Calédonie, en Polynésie française et dans les îles Wallis et Futuna :
1° Un établissement financier est défini conformément à l’article L. 722-2.
L’établissement financier ainsi défini peut-être également une compagnie financière holding, un établissement de paiement ou une société de gestion de portefeuille.
Les références aux établissements financiers au sens du 4° de l’article L. 511-21 sont remplacées par les références aux établissements financiers au sens de l’article L. 722-2 ;
2° Le mot : « succursale » et l’expression « service bancaire » sont désignés conformément à l’article L. 722-2.
