Subject to the adaptations provided for in this chapter, the following provisions of this code shall apply in the Wallis and Futuna Islands:
1° Books I to III, with the exception of the fourth paragraph of Article L. 335-4 and Articles L. 133-1 and L. 133-4, in the wording resulting from Law no. 2021-1382 of 25 October 2021 on the regulation and protection of access to cultural works in the digital age;
Article L. 113-9-1 is applicable in the wording resulting from Order no. 2021-1658 of 15 December 2021.
Articles L. 132-15, L. 132-17-1-1, L. 132-17-3, L. 132-17-4-1, L. 132-17-8 and L. 132-17-9 are applicable in their wording resulting from Law no. 2021-1901 of 30 December 2021 aimed at strengthening the book economy and reinforcing fairness and confidence between its players;

The rules applicable in mainland France by virtue of Regulation (EU) 2017/1001 of 14 June 2017 are applicable in the Wallis and Futuna Islands with the exception of paragraph 4 of Article 9 and Article 15 of this Regulation.
For their application in the Wallis and Futuna Islands, Articles L. 713-4 and L. 717-1 shall read as follows:
Art. L. 713-4.-The right conferred by a trademark shall not entitle its proprietor to prohibit the use thereof for goods which have been put on the market in the European Union, in the European Economic Area or in the Wallis Islands, under that trademark by the proprietor or with his consent.
However, the proprietor of the trade mark is still entitled to oppose any new act of marketing if he can show legitimate reasons, in particular relating to the subsequent modification or alteration of the condition of the goods.
Art. L. 717-1.-I.-Infringement of the prohibitions laid down in Articles 9, with the exception of its fourth paragraph, 10 and 13 of the Regulation referred to in I shall constitute an infringement giving rise to civil liability on the part of the infringer.
II-A European Union trade mark does not entitle its proprietor to prohibit its use in relation to goods which have been put on the market in the European Economic Area or in the Wallis and Futuna Islands under that trade mark by the proprietor or with his consent, except where there are legitimate grounds for the proprietor to oppose the subsequent marketing of the goods, in particular where the condition of the goods is altered or changed after they have been put on the market.
III-An infringement of a European Union trade mark constitutes an infringement of the trade mark.
III -Infringement of the prohibitions set out in I and II is an infringement for which the infringer is civilly liable
