The territorial council may set up consultative committees on any issue of territorial interest concerning all or part of the territory of the local authority. These committees shall include persons who may not belong to the council, in particular representatives of local associations.
On a proposal from the executive council, the territorial council shall determine the composition of the advisory committees for a period that may not exceed the term of office of the current territorial councillor.
Each committee is chaired by a member of the Territorial Council, appointed by the President of the Territorial Council.
The committees may be consulted by the Executive Council on any issue or project concerning local public services and facilities and falling within the field of activity of the associations that are members of the committee. They may also forward to the Executive Council any proposal concerning any problem of communal interest for which they have been set up.
