Article R1112-38 of the French Public Health Code

Drug addicts who come voluntarily to an establishment for treatment may, if they expressly request it, be granted anonymity at the time of admission. This anonymity can only be lifted for reasons other than the repression of illicit drug use. These persons may ask the doctors who treated them for a certificate stating their name, the dates, duration and purpose of the treatment.

Les toxicomanes qui se présentent spontanément dans un établissement afin d’y être traités peuvent, s’ils le demandent expressément, bénéficier de l’anonymat au moment de l’admission. Cet anonymat ne peut être levé que pour des causes autres que la répression de l’usage illicite de stupéfiants. Ces personnes peuvent demander aux médecins qui les ont traitées un certificat nominatif mentionnant les dates, la durée et l’objet du traitement.
