During their hospital stay, patients who have been administered a labile blood product are informed in writing. In the case of minors, this information is communicated to the holders of parental authority, unless the minor has made known his or her opposition as provided for in article L. 1111-5 and, in the case of adults subject to a legal protection measure with representation relating to the person, to the person in charge of the measure. The information may also be communicated to the person in charge of a legal protection measure with personal assistance if the protected adult expressly consents.
