The results of the ballot are recorded in two minutes drawn up on forms provided by the territorial authority that decided on the referendum. They are signed by the members of the bureau. The delegates of the elected groups, parties or political groupings entitled to do so are invited to countersign the copies of the minutes.
As soon as the minutes have been drawn up, the result is proclaimed in public by the president of the polling station and posted in writing by him in the polling room.
Where the electoral colleges are divided into several polling stations, the counting of the votes is first carried out by station. The chairman and the members of each polling station then hand over the two copies of the minutes and the annexes to the first polling station, which is set up as a centralising polling station and is responsible for carrying out a general count of the votes in the presence of the chairmen of the other polling stations.
The results decided by each polling station and the annexed documents may not be altered under any circumstances.
Summary minutes are drawn up in duplicate in the presence of the voters. It is signed by the members of the first polling station, the delegates of the elected representatives, political parties or groupings authorised to attend the first polling station and the chairmen of the other polling stations.
