Article R1124-9 of the French Public Health Code

At the request of the Committee for the Protection of Individuals, the sponsor or his representative appointed for this purpose, possibly accompanied by the investigator or, where appropriate, the coordinating investigator, may be heard by the Committee.

The Committee, by decision of the Chairman, either hears the investigator in plenary or in a restricted committee, or has the investigator heard by the designated rapporteur. This hearing may be conducted by means of a telephone or audiovisual conference and notice of the hearing must be given at least seven days before the scheduled date.

Sur la demande du comité de protection des personnes, le promoteur ou son représentant mandaté à cet effet, éventuellement accompagné de l’investigateur ou, le cas échéant, de l’investigateur coordonnateur, peut être entendu par le comité.

Le comité, par décision du président, soit l’entend en comité plénier ou en comité restreint, soit le fait entendre par le rapporteur désigné. Cette audition peut être réalisée au moyen d’une conférence téléphonique ou audiovisuelle et la convocation à cette audition doit être notifiée au moins sept jours avant la date prévue.
