Article R1131-7 of the French Public Health Code

The approved practitioner referred to in article R. 1131-6 must be a doctor or pharmacist, holding a diploma of specialised studies in medical biology or an equivalent diploma or, exceptionally, a scientist with specific qualifications or work in the fields of analyses defined in 1° and 2° of article R. 1131-2 .

Depending on the category of analyses covered by the application for approval, this approved practitioner must also provide evidence of specialised training and professional experience deemed sufficient for the category of analyses concerned, in the light of the assessment criteria defined by the Biomedicine Agency’s Orientation Council in application of article L. 1418-4. These criteria relate to the duration and content of the training and experience and, where applicable, to the development of the functions performed by the practitioner.

Le praticien agréé mentionné à l’article R. 1131-6 doit être médecin ou pharmacien, titulaire du diplôme d’études spécialisées de biologie médicale ou d’un diplôme équivalent ou, à titre exceptionnel, une personnalité scientifique justifiant de titres ou travaux spécifiques dans les domaines des analyses définies aux 1° et 2° de l’article R. 1131-2.

Ce praticien agréé doit en outre justifier, selon les catégories d’analyses sur lesquelles porte la demande d’agrément, d’une formation spécialisée et d’une expérience professionnelle jugées suffisantes, pour la catégorie d’analyses concernée, au regard des critères d’appréciation définis par le conseil d’orientation de l’Agence de la biomédecine en application de l’article L. 1418-4. Ces critères portent sur la durée ainsi que le contenu de la formation et de l’expérience et, le cas échéant, sur l’évolution des fonctions exercées par le praticien.
