Article R1221-10 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The members of the National Council are subject to the obligation of professional discretion with regard to any information that comes to their knowledge in this capacity.

In order to prevent any conflict of interest, a member of the National Council shall not take part in any discussion or vote concerning a body for which a situation of interference is likely to influence the performance of his/her duties. They must inform the Chairman and the secretariat of the National Council before the matter is discussed at the meeting.

Les membres du Conseil national sont soumis à l’obligation de discrétion professionnelle pour toute information dont ils ont connaissance en cette qualité.

Afin de prévenir tout conflit d’intérêt, un membre du conseil national ne prend part ni à la discussion ni au vote concernant un organisme pour lequel une situation d’interférence est de nature à influencer l’exercice de sa mission. Il doit le signaler au président et au secrétariat du conseil national avant l’examen du dossier en séance.
