Article R1221-25 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Policy Council members are bound by the obligation of professional discretion with regard to any information that comes to their knowledge in this capacity.

The duties of Chairman and member of the Policy Council are free of charge. Travel and subsistence expenses may be allocated to them, in accordance with the conditions laid down in the decree setting the conditions and procedures for payment of expenses incurred by temporary travel by civil servants of the State.

The Chairman and members of the Guidance Council are free of charge.

Les membres du conseil d’orientation sont soumis à l’obligation de discrétion professionnelle pour toute information dont ils ont connaissance en cette qualité.

Les fonctions de président et de membre du conseil d’orientation sont gratuites. Des frais de déplacement et de séjour peuvent leur être alloués, dans les conditions prévues par le décret fixant les conditions et les modalités de règlement des frais occasionnés par les déplacements temporaires des personnels civils de l’Etat.
