I.-The head of the laboratory for the biological qualification of donations shall ensure compliance with the regulations applicable to analyses relating to the biological qualification of donations and the proper transmission of information and results between his laboratory and those responsible for the activities of blood establishments whose donations the laboratory qualifies. He/she is responsible for the quality of the analyses carried out. It is responsible for the general organisation of the laboratory, for the training and assessment of laboratory staff and for checking that in vitro diagnostic medical devices comply with pre-established standards or specifications.
II – Only persons who satisfy the conditions laid down in Articles L. 6213-1 to L. 6213-6 may perform this function. They must also possess, or acquire within two years of their appointment, specific skills recognised by diplomas or, where applicable, training courses under conditions laid down by order of the Minister for Health and the Minister for Defence.
