Article R123-131 of the French Commercial code

Any legal entity is automatically struck off the register, after a notice of its dissolution has been entered in the register, at the end of the period set by the Articles of Association for the duration of the liquidation or, failing this, at the end of a period of three years after the date of such notice.

However, the liquidator may apply for an extension of the registration by means of an amending entry for the purposes of the liquidation; this extension is valid for one year unless renewed from year to year.
