Article R1261-25 of the French Public Health Code

Any training, research or health establishment which receives corpses for the purposes of medical teaching and research shall hold an authorisation issued by the ministers responsible for the establishment.

The application for authorisation referred to in article L. 1261-1 shall be sent to the ministers responsible for the applicant establishment by the legal representative of the latter, by any means giving a date certain for its receipt.

It is accompanied by a dossier, the form and content of which, including, where applicable, the information relating to associated establishments provided for in article R. 1261-11, are set by order of the ministers responsible for health, higher education and research.

Tout établissement de formation et de recherche ou de santé qui assure l’accueil de corps à des fins d’enseignement médical et de recherche est titulaire d’une autorisation délivrée par les ministres qui en assurent la tutelle.


La demande d’autorisation mentionnée à l’article L. 1261-1 est adressée aux ministres de tutelle de l’établissement demandeur par le représentant légal de ce dernier et par tout moyen donnant date certaine à sa réception.


Elle est accompagnée d’un dossier dont la forme et le contenu, comprenant le cas échéant les éléments liés aux établissements associés prévus à l’article R. 1261-11, sont fixés par arrêté des ministres chargés de la santé, de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche.
