Article R1313-6 of the French Public Health Code

The term of office of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, appointed for three years, is renewable once. This provision shall not prevent the Chairman from holding a directorship before or after his term of office, where applicable for a further term of three years. The duties of Chairman of the Board of Directors are incompatible with those of Chief Executive Officer of the Agency.

The age limit for the Chairman is sixty-seven.

The Board of Directors elects from among its members a Vice-Chairman chosen from among the members of the colleges mentioned in 2°, 3°, 4° or 5° of article R. 1313-4, who exercises all the prerogatives of the Chairman in the event of the latter’s absence or incapacity.

Article R1313-6

Le mandat de président du conseil d’administration, nommé pour trois ans, est renouvelable une fois. Cette disposition ne fait pas obstacle à ce que le président exerce avant ou après ses fonctions un mandat d’administrateur, le cas échéant pour une durée renouvelée de trois ans. Les fonctions de président du conseil d’administration sont incompatibles avec celles de directeur général de l’agence.

La limite d’âge du président est fixée à soixante-sept ans.

Le conseil d’administration élit en son sein un vice-président choisi parmi les membres des collèges mentionnés aux 2°, 3°, 4° ou 5° de l’article R. 1313-4, qui exerce toutes les prérogatives du président en cas d’absence ou d’empêchement de ce dernier.
