Hydrogeologists must obtain approval in public health matters from the Director General of the Regional Health Agency in order to issue opinions within the framework of the procedures laid down in Chapters I and II of this Title. An order by the Minister for Health sets out the procedures for the approval and appointment of approved public health hydrogeologists, in particular how the application for approval is to be compiled, the skills required and the duration of the approval.
If the Director General of the Regional Health Agency remains silent on the application for approval for more than four months, this is deemed to constitute a decision of acceptance.
The costs incurred in compensating the hydrogeologists are borne by the applicant for authorisation to use water for human consumption. An order of the ministers responsible for local authorities, the economy and finance, the civil service and health sets the conditions for remuneration of hydrogeologists.
