Article R1322-45 of the French Public Health Code

The medical inspectors of public health and the inspectors of the regional health agency with the status of medical doctor exercise supervision over all the parts of the establishment assigned to the administration of the waters and the treatment of persons taking the waters, as well as over the execution of the provisions relating thereto.

The provisions of the previous paragraph may not be interpreted in such a way as to restrict the freedom of patients to follow their own doctor’s prescription without prejudice to the free use of the waters, as provided for inarticle R. 1322-46.

Article R1322-45

Les médecins inspecteurs de santé publique et les inspecteurs de l’agence régionale de santé ayant la qualité de médecin exercent la surveillance sur toutes les parties de l’établissement affectées à l’administration des eaux et au traitement des curistes, ainsi que sur l’exécution des dispositions qui s’y rapportent.

Les dispositions de l’alinéa précédent ne peuvent être entendues de manière à restreindre la liberté qu’ont les malades de suivre la prescription de leurs propres médecins sans préjudice du libre usage des eaux, prévue à l’article R. 1322-46.
