Article R1331-15 of the French Public Health Code

The health and hygiene rules laid down by this section apply to residential premises, as well as to the surroundings of these premises and to the common areas of multi-family residential buildings.

The same rules apply to installations such as mobile homes, campsites, huts, caravans, marquees, boats, caravans, informal shacks, shelters and containers. However, for these installations, a decree provides for the adaptation of the rules set out in sub-sections 2 and 3 of this section.

Les règles d’hygiène et de salubrité édictées par la présente section sont applicables aux locaux d’habitation, ainsi qu’aux abords de ces locaux et aux parties communes des bâtiments d’habitation collectifs.

Les mêmes règles s’appliquent aux installations que sont notamment les maisons mobiles, les campements, les huttes, les caravanes, les chapiteaux, les bateaux, les roulottes, les cabanes informelles, les abris, les conteneurs. Toutefois, pour ces installations, un décret prévoit l’adaptation des règles énoncées par les sous-sections 2 et 3 de la présente section.
