Article R1331-21 of the French Public Health Code

The living rooms of a premises are provided with an opening to the outside which gives onto the open air, if necessary via a glazed area which itself gives onto the open air, and have an opening section allowing sufficient natural ventilation.

At least one of these rooms has a window or opening with a view to the outside corresponding at least to a prospect allowing sufficient natural lighting as defined inarticle R. 1331-22.

Les pièces de vie d’un local sont pourvues d’une ouverture sur l’extérieur donnant à l’air libre, le cas échéant par l’intermédiaire d’un volume vitré donnant lui-même à l’air libre, et présentent une section ouvrante permettant une aération naturelle suffisante.

Au moins une de ces pièces est munie d’une fenêtre ou d’une baie offrant une vue sur l’extérieur correspondant au minimum à un prospect permettant un éclairement naturel suffisant tel qu’il est défini à l’article R. 1331-22.
