The provisions of articles R. 1336-5 to R. 1336-11 apply to all neighbourhood noise, with the exception of noise from transport infrastructures and vehicles on them, aircraft, special national defence activities and installations, basic nuclear installations, installations classified for environmental protection and public and private electricity transmission and distribution networks subject to the regulations laid down inarticle 19 of the law of 15 June 1906 on energydistribution .
When it comes from their own activity or their own installations, noise perceived inside mines, quarries, their outbuildings and establishments mentioned in articles L. 4111-1 and L. 4111-3 of the Labour Code, excluding those carrying out an activity defined in article R. 1336-1, is also excluded.
Requirements applicable to places open to the public or receiving the public hosting activities involving the broadcasting of amplified sound at high noise levels are set out in articles R. 571-25 et seq of the Environment Code.
