Article R140 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Jurors shall be awarded, for the duration of the session, a daily allowance determined by the following formula: I = 6 + (S x 8), in which:

I is the amount of the fixed allowance expressed in euros;

S is the minimum interprofessional growth wage as fixed on 1 January of the current year.

Jurors who provide evidence of a loss of part of their income from their professional activity are entitled, in addition, to a supplementary allowance calculated according to the following formula: I = S x D, in which:

S is the minimum interprofessional growth wage determined as above;

D is the hourly duration of the hearing, which may not exceed eight hours per working day.

Il est accordé aux jurés, pendant la durée de la session, une indemnité journalière déterminée par la formule suivante : I = 6 + (S x 8), dans laquelle :

I est le montant de l’indemnité forfaitaire exprimé en euros ;

S le salaire minimum interprofessionnel de croissance tel qu’il est fixé au 1er janvier de l’année en cours.

Les jurés qui justifient d’une perte d’une partie du revenu tiré de leur activité professionnelle, ont droit, en outre, à une indemnité supplémentaire calculée suivant la formule suivante : I = S x D, dans laquelle :

S est le salaire minimum interprofessionnel de croissance déterminé comme ci-dessus ;

D la durée horaire de l’audience, celle-ci ne pouvant excéder huit heures par jour ouvrable.
