The duties of members of the Steering Committee, the Medical and Scientific Committee and the groups of experts are performed free of charge.
Where their attendance at meetings results in a loss of income, salaried members and self-employed members sitting on the Steering Committee or the Medical and Scientific Committee or in groups of experts, as well as experts from outside these bodies or groups, may receive compensation in the form of a lump sum.
Members of the bodies or groups of experts mentioned in the previous paragraph, as well as experts from outside these bodies or groups and appearing on a list drawn up by the Director General of the Agency, receive compensation in the form of lump-sum fees for the work, reports and studies they carry out. The maximum number of such fees and their amount are determined by a decision of the Board of Directors. The procedures for granting these allowances are laid down by decision of the Managing Director of the Agency after deliberation by the Board of Directors. The Managing Director of the Agency shall also set the number of hours worked by the members of these bodies, by the members of the groups of experts or by the external experts mentioned in this article.
In addition, the members of the Steering Committee and the members of the Medical and Scientific Committee and the groups of experts are entitled to reimbursement of travel and subsistence expenses under the conditions laid down in article R. 1418-10.
