Article R146 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

When a juror is unable to meet the costs of his or her travel, he or she shall be issued, if he or she so requests and upon presentation of an order issued by the president of the judicial court of his or her residence, with an advance on the compensation that will be due to him or her. The amount of this advance shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of the second paragraph of article R. 134.

The imprest administrator, who pays this advance, shall mention it in the margin and at the bottom of the notification issued to the juror.

Lorsqu’un juré se trouve hors d’état de subvenir aux frais de son déplacement, il lui est délivré, s’il le requiert et sur présentation d’une ordonnance rendue par le président du tribunal judiciaire de sa résidence un acompte sur l’indemnité qui lui sera due. Le montant de cet acompte est déterminé conformément aux dispositions du deuxième alinéa de l’article R. 134.

Le régisseur d’avances, qui paie cet acompte, en fait mention en marge et au bas de la notification délivrée au juré.
