The judicial environmental officer may also be assisted by a counsel of his or her choice.
A judicial environmental officer whose authorisation has been suspended is automatically entitled, on expiry of the suspension, to the same prerogatives and obligations as those attributed to judicial police officers. The Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal within whose jurisdiction the headquarters of the department to which the judicial environmental officer is attached is located may, at any time, shorten the duration of the suspension.

Once withdrawn, the authorisation may only be reinstated in the same way as it was originally granted.

Article R15-33-29-26
