Article R15-33-59 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

When the penal composition has taken place following the commission of an offence provided for by articles 222-19-1 or 222-20-1 of the Penal Code or articles L. 234-1 or L. 234-8 of the Highway Code or any other offence or contravention giving rise to the withdrawal of driving licence points, the public prosecutor sends the services of the Ministry of the Interior a notice informing them of the execution of the penal composition, so that the driving licence points can be withdrawn.

The notice sent by the public prosecutor specifies the date of execution of the penal composition, which starts the period provided for in the first paragraph of article L. 11-6 of the Highway Code.

Article R15-33-59

Lorsque la composition pénale est intervenue à la suite de la commission d’un délit prévu par les articles 222-19-1 ou 222-20-1 du code pénal ou les articles L. 234-1 ou L. 234-8 du code de la route ou de tout autre délit ou contravention donnant lieu à retrait des points du permis de conduire, le procureur de la République adresse aux services du ministère de l’intérieur un avis les informant de l’exécution de la composition pénale, afin qu’il puisse être procédé au retrait des points du permis de conduire.

L’avis adressé par le procureur de la République précise la date d’exécution de la composition pénale qui fait courir le délai prévu au premier alinéa de l’article L. 11-6 du code de la route.
