Article R2-10 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The first president of the court of appeal may be requested by the public prosecutor or the president of the judicial tribunal to order the removal of a citizen assessor from the annual list pursuant to Article 10-6.

The First President of the Court of Appeal, after summoning the citizen assessor and giving him or her the opportunity to present his or her observations, decides on his or her removal from the annual list by means of a reasoned decision that is notified to the interested party by any means.

Le premier président de la cour d’appel peut être saisi par le procureur général ou le président du tribunal judiciaire à l’effet d’ordonner le retrait d’un citoyen assesseur de la liste annuelle en application de l’article 10-6.


Le premier président de la cour d’appel, après avoir convoqué le citoyen assesseur et l’avoir mis en mesure de présenter ses observations, se prononce sur son retrait de la liste annuelle par une décision motivée qui est notifiée par tout moyen à l’intéressé.
