Article R2-3 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The notice referred to in 1° of article R. 2-1 informs the person drawn by lot:

1° That, within ten days of receiving the collection of information and, at the latest, before 15 May, he or she is required to complete it and send it to the chairman of the committee provided for in article 262 ;

2° That he or she may apply for exemption from performing the duties of a juror or citizen assessor pursuant to Article 258 either in the information booklet or by simple letter addressed to the chairman of the committee before 15 May.

L’avis mentionné au 1° de l’article R. 2-1 informe la personne tirée au sort :


1° Que, dans un délai de dix jours à compter de la réception du recueil d’information et, au plus tard, avant le 15 mai, elle est tenue de le renseigner et de l’adresser au président de la commission prévue par l’article 262 ;


2° Qu’elle peut former une demande de dispense d’exercer les fonctions de juré ou de citoyen assesseur en application de l’article 258 soit dans le recueil d’informations, soit par lettre simple adressée au président de la commission avant le 15 mai.
