Article R211-11 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The cinematographic exhibition permit is equivalent to authorisation for public performance of the works or documents throughout the territory of mainland France and the local authorities covered byarticle 73 of the French Constitution.

Refusal of a cinematographic exhibition permit is equivalent to a ban on the cinematographic representation of the works or documents.

Le visa d’exploitation cinématographique vaut autorisation de représentation publique des œuvres ou documents sur tout le territoire de la France métropolitaine et des collectivités de l’article 73 de la Constitution.

Le refus de visa d’exploitation cinématographique vaut interdiction de représentation cinématographique des œuvres ou documents.
