Article R211-6 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

When the members of the classification committee unanimously propose that a visa be issued authorising cinematographic representation for all audiences without a warning, or when only one of them proposes the warning provided for in article R. 211-13 or one of the specific performance bans provided for in article R. 211-12, the chairman of the classification committee mentioned in Article R. 211-29 decides, in the light of the report, whether to include the work or document on the classification committee’s agenda, or to forward the report, which it approves, to the Minister for Culture.
When the majority of the members of the classification committee propose that a visa be issued authorising cinematographic representation for all audiences accompanied by a warning, the chairman of the classification committee places the work or document on the committee’s agenda. However, when the person requesting the visa expressly declares that he or she accepts the proposal of the classification committee, the chairman of the classification committee forwards the report, which he or she endorses, to the Minister for Culture.
If at least two of the members of the classification committee propose a specific performance ban, with or without a warning, or refusal of the visa, the chairman of the classification committee places the work or document on the committee’s agenda.
In cases other than those mentioned in the previous paragraphs, the chairman of the classification committee is required to include the work or document on the committee’s agenda.
The chairman of the classification committee may ask the classification committee to carry out a new screening or any verification it deems necessary.

Article R211-6

Lorsque les membres du comité de classification proposent à l’unanimité que soit délivré un visa autorisant la représentation cinématographique pour tous publics sans avertissement, ou lorsqu’un seul d’entre eux propose l’avertissement prévu à l’article R. 211-13 ou une des interdictions particulières de représentation prévues à l’article R. 211-12, le président de la commission de classification mentionnée à l’article R. 211-29 décide, au vu du rapport, s’il y a lieu d’inscrire l’œuvre ou le document à l’ordre du jour de la commission de classification, ou de transmettre le rapport, qu’il vise, au ministre chargé de la culture.
Lorsque la majorité des membres du comité de classification propose que soit délivré un visa autorisant la représentation cinématographique pour tous publics accompagné d’un avertissement, le président de la commission de classification inscrit l’œuvre ou le document à l’ordre du jour de celle-ci. Toutefois, lorsque la personne qui demande le visa déclare expressément s’en remettre à la proposition du comité de classification, le président de la commission de classification transmet le rapport, qu’il vise, au ministre chargé de la culture.
Lorsque deux au moins des membres du comité de classification proposent une interdiction particulière de représentation, accompagnée ou non d’un avertissement, ou le refus de visa, le président de la commission de classification inscrit l’œuvre ou le document à l’ordre du jour de celle-ci.
Dans les autres cas que ceux mentionnés aux alinéas précédents, le président de la commission de classification est tenu d’inscrire l’œuvre ou le document à l’ordre du jour de celle-ci.
Le président de la commission de classification peut demander au comité de classification saisi de procéder à un nouveau visionnage ou à toute vérification qui lui paraît nécessaire.
