Article R212-2 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The committee comprises twelve representatives of employees’ organisations and twelve representatives of employers’ organisations. The organisations called upon to appoint representatives and the number of representatives from each shall be determined by order of the Minister responsible for culture.

An alternate shall be appointed, under the same conditions, for each of the full representatives of the employees’ and employers’ organisations. Alternate members of the committee will attend meetings and take part in deliberations only in the absence of the full representative they are deputising for.

Article R212-2

La commission comprend douze représentants des organisations de salariés et douze représentants des organisations d’employeurs. Les organisations appelées à désigner des représentants et le nombre de représentants de chacune d’elles sont déterminés par arrêté du ministre chargé de la culture.

Un suppléant est désigné, dans les mêmes conditions, pour chacun des représentants titulaires des organisations de salariés et d’employeurs. Les membres suppléants de la commission n’assistent aux séances et ne participent aux délibérations qu’en cas d’absence du représentant titulaire qu’ils suppléent.
