Article R212-6-4 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

When the area of cinematographic influence of the project, as shown in the applicant’s file, extends beyond the boundaries of the département, the prefect of the département in which the project is located determines, for each of the other départements concerned, the number of elected representatives and leading figures qualified in sustainable development and regional planning to complete the composition of the commission.

The number of elected representatives may not exceed five for each of the other departments concerned. These members must be elected representatives from municipalities within the project’s area of cinematographic influence.

The number of people qualified in sustainable development and regional planning may not exceed two for each of the other departments concerned.

On a proposal from the prefect of each of the other departments concerned, the prefect of the department in which the project is located appoints the members mentioned in the first paragraph.

Lorsque la zone d’influence cinématographique du projet, telle qu’elle figure au dossier du demandeur, dépasse les limites du département, le préfet du département d’implantation détermine, pour chacun des autres départements concernés, le nombre d’élus et de personnalités qualifiées en matière de développement durable et d’aménagement du territoire appelés à compléter la composition de la commission.

Le nombre d’élus ne peut être supérieur à cinq pour chacun des autres départements concernés. Ces membres sont des élus de communes appartenant à la zone d’influence cinématographique du projet.

Le nombre de personnalités qualifiées en matière de développement durable et d’aménagement du territoire ne peut excéder deux pour chaque autre département concerné.

Sur proposition du préfet de chacun des autres départements concernés, le préfet du département d’implantation désigne les membres mentionnés au premier alinéa.
