Article R2122-12 of the French Public Health Code

All antenatal consultations must be attended by at least one nurse or midwife, who may be assisted by one or more nurses or midwives. Within the limits of the laws and regulations in force, trainee nurses or midwives may be authorised.

The nurses and midwives must have no financial relationship with the consultants.

Toute consultation prénatale doit s’attacher les services d’au moins un infirmier ou une infirmière ou une sage-femme, qui peut être secondé par un ou plusieurs infirmiers, infirmières ou sages-femmes. Dans la limite des lois et règlements en vigueur, des infirmiers ou infirmières ou sages-femmes stagiaires peuvent être autorisés.

Les infirmiers, les infirmières et les sages-femmes ne doivent avoir aucun rapport financier avec les consultantes.
