Article R2131-16 of the French Public Health Code

The centre may be consulted either directly by the pregnant woman or the couple where a proven risk has been identified in application of III of article L. 2131-1, or by the attending physician who sends the medical file to the centre.

In the latter case, the file must contain the written consent of the pregnant woman or the couple to the attending doctor’s action and a certificate stating that they have been informed that the centre will keep documents concerning them.

Le centre peut être consulté soit directement par la femme enceinte ou le couple dès lors qu’un risque avéré a été identifié en application du III de l’article L. 2131-1, soit par le médecin traitant qui adresse au centre le dossier médical.

Dans ce dernier cas, le dossier doit contenir le consentement écrit de la femme enceinte ou du couple à la démarche du médecin traitant et une attestation mentionnant qu’ils ont été avertis de ce que le centre conservera des documents les concernant.
