Article R2141-3 of the French Public Health Code

Only centres authorised in accordance with the provisions of Article R. 2142-7 may store embryos with a view to their reception and implement this.

Centres that are not authorised to store embryos with a view to their reception and to implement this shall hand over the embryos stored to an authorised centre, together with a copy of the file of the couple or unmarried woman referred to in article R. 2142-9, under conditions designed to guarantee the confidentiality of the information contained therein.

Seuls les centres autorisés conformément aux dispositions de l’article R. 2142-7 peuvent conserver les embryons en vue de leur accueil et mettre en oeuvre celui-ci.

Les centres non autorisés à conserver les embryons en vue de leur accueil et mettre en œuvre celui-ci remettent les embryons conservés à un centre autorisé ainsi qu’une copie du dossier du couple ou de la femme non mariée mentionné à l’article R. 2142-9, dans les conditions propres à garantir la confidentialité des informations qu’il contient.
