Without prejudice to the application of the provisions of article L. 2141-10, any embryo reception must be preceded by at least one interview between the couple or unmarried woman wishing to receive an embryo and the centre’s multidisciplinary clinico-biological medical team, in particular the doctor qualified in psychiatry or the psychologist. This centre is authorised to store embryos with a view to their reception and to carry out this reception.
A practitioner from this centre, who meets the criteria mentioned in article R. 2142-10 for carrying out the clinical activities for implementing embryo reception mentioned in e of 1° of article R. 2142-1, draws up a document certifying that the couple or unmarried woman wishing to receive an embryo:
-has been informed of the legislative and regulatory provisions relating to medically assisted procreation and of the constraints and risks in the current state of knowledge ;
-meets the conditions laid down in Articles L. 2141-2 and L. 2141-6 ;
-does not present any medical contraindication to the reception of an embryo.
