The local correspondent for the vigilance system relating to medically assisted procreation is responsible for :
1° Ensuring that the health professionals involved in the activities mentioned in 2° of I of Article R. 2142-39;
2° Gathering, keeping and making accessible the information communicated to it relating to incidents and undesirable effects;
3° Identifying and declaring serious incidents and unexpected undesirable effects to the Agence de la biomédecine without delay;
4° Informing, where appropriate, the other local correspondents of the vigilance system relating to medically assisted procreation;
5° Informing the correspondents of the other vigilance systems concerned if other vigilance systems are involved;
6° Investigating or coordinating investigations into serious incidents and unexpected adverse reactions reported to it, and ensuring that any corrective measures are implemented by the healthcare professional concerned;
7° Informing the Agence de la biomédecine of the results of these investigations and any corrective measures implemented;
8° Notify the Agence de la biomédecine of any difficulties likely to compromise the smooth operation of the system;
9° Send the Agence de la biomédecine an annual report by 31 March each year, summarising all the incidents and adverse effects noted during the previous calendar year and the frequency with which they occurred in relation to the activities. The model for the report is set by the Director General of the Agence de la biomédecine.
