Article R221-8 of the French Commercial code

In application of the provisions of Article L. 221-8, a non-managing partner has the right to inspect for himself, at the registered office, the business and accounting books, contracts, invoices, correspondence, minutes and, more generally, any document drawn up by the company or received by it.

The right to inspect entails the right to take copies.

In the exercise of these rights, the shareholder may be assisted by an expert chosen from one of the lists drawn up by the courts and tribunals.

En application des dispositions de l’article L. 221-8, l’associé non gérant a le droit de prendre par lui-même, au siège social, connaissance des livres de commerce et de comptabilité, des contrats, factures, correspondances, procès-verbaux et plus généralement de tout document établi par la société ou reçu par elle.

Le droit de prendre connaissance emporte celui de prendre copie.

Dans l’exercice de ces droits, l’associé peut se faire assister d’un expert choisi sur une des listes établies par les cours et tribunaux.
