Article R224-3 of the French Consumer Code

The waiver of the contract provided for by the provisions of article L. 224-91 is effective as soon as the trader’s co-contractor has, within the period of seven days referred to in these same provisions, unequivocally expressed his wish to withdraw, in particular by sending a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or by handing over to the trader, against receipt, a written document containing a waiver.

La renonciation au contrat prévue par les dispositions de l’article L. 224-91 est effective dès lors que le cocontractant du professionnel a, dans le délai de sept jours mentionné par ces mêmes dispositions, manifesté de manière non équivoque sa volonté de se rétracter, notamment par l’envoi d’une lettre recommandée avec demande d’avis de réception ou par la remise au professionnel, contre récépissé, d’un écrit contenant renonciation.
