Section 1: Matrimonial brokerage contracts

The appendix to the contract and the personalised ad mentioned in articles L. 224-90 and L. 224-93 specify the age category, region of residence, family and professional situation and other qualities, deemed essential by the professional’s co-contractor, of the person the co-contractor is looking for. .

In the event of termination of the contract for a legitimate reason as provided for in article L. 224-90, the price initially agreed is reduced in proportion, respectively, to the duration of the contract that has run and that which remains to run.

The waiver of the contract provided for by the provisions of article L. 224-91 is effective as soon as the trader’s co-contractor has, within the period of seven days referred to in these same provisions, unequivocally expressed his wish to withdraw, in particular by sending a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or by handing over to the trader, against receipt, a written document containing a waiver.
