Article R225-34-4 of the French Commercial code

The time devoted to training directors elected by the general meeting of shareholders pursuant to Article L. 225-23 and directors elected by employees or appointed pursuant to Article L. 225-27-1 is determined by the Board of Directors, but may not be less than forty hours per year, during the term of office. This time is taken from actual working time and remunerated as such at the normal due date.

A company or, as the case may be, group agreement may contain more favourable provisions.

Le temps consacré à la formation des administrateurs élus par l’assemblée générale des actionnaires en application de l’article L. 225-23 et des administrateurs élus par les salariés ou désignés en application de l’article L. 225-27-1 est déterminé par le conseil d’administration, sans pouvoir être inférieur à quarante heures par an, au cours du mandat. Ce temps est pris sur le temps de travail effectif et rémunéré comme tel à l’échéance normale.

Un accord d’entreprise ou, selon le cas, de groupe peut comporter des dispositions plus favorables.
