Article R228-1 of the French Commercial code

The intermediary mentioned in the seventh and eighth paragraphs of Article L. 228-1 declares its status as an intermediary registered on behalf of third parties, as soon as the account is opened, with the issuing company, with an intermediary mentioned in article L. 211-3 of the Monetary and Financial Code or with a central depository where the registered intermediary has opened a securities account in the books of that central depository.

Article R228-1

L’intermédiaire mentionné aux septième et huitième alinéas de l’article L. 228-1 déclare sa qualité d’intermédiaire inscrit pour le compte de tiers, dès l’ouverture du compte, auprès de la société émettrice, auprès d’un intermédiaire mentionné à l’article L. 211-3 du code monétaire et financier ou auprès d’un dépositaire central lorsque l’intermédiaire inscrit a ouvert un compte de titres dans les livres de ce dépositaire central.
