Article R2314-25 of the French Labour Code

The Court of First Instance shall give its decision within ten days of the matter being referred to it, without any costs or procedural formalities, and after giving three days’ notice to all interested parties.

The court’s decision is notified by the registry within three days by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.

The decision may be appealed to the Court of Cassation within ten days. The appeal is lodged, investigated and judged under the conditions set out in articles 999 to 1008 of the Code of Civil Procedure.

Le tribunal judiciaire statue dans les dix jours de sa saisine sans frais ni forme de procédure et sur avertissement qu’il donne trois jours à l’avance à toutes les parties intéressées.


La décision du tribunal est notifiée par le greffe dans les trois jours par lettre recommandée avec avis de réception.


La décision est susceptible d’un pourvoi en cassation dans un délai de dix jours. Le pourvoi est formé, instruit et jugé dans les conditions fixées par les articles 999 à 1008 du code de procédure civile.
