Article R2324-23 of the French Public Health Code

As part of the authorisation procedure or notice of creation, extension or conversion, an on-site visit to the establishment or service is carried out beforehand by the doctor in charge of the maternal and child protection service, or by a doctor or nursery nurse belonging to this service or, failing this, by a qualified professional in the field of early childhood, belonging to this service, whom he delegates.

The purpose of this visit is to assess whether the premises and their layout meet the objectives and conditions defined in article R. 2324-28, taking into account the age and needs of the children being cared for.

Article R2324-23

Dans le cadre de la procédure d’autorisation ou d’avis de création, d’extension ou de transformation, une visite sur place de l’établissement ou du service est effectuée préalablement par le médecin responsable du service de protection maternelle et infantile, ou par un médecin ou une puéricultrice appartenant à ce service ou, à défaut, par un professionnel qualifié dans le domaine de la petite enfance, appartenant à ce service, qu’il délègue.

Cette visite a pour objet d’évaluer si les locaux et leur aménagement répondent aux objectifs et aux conditions définis à l’article R. 2324-28, compte tenu de l’âge et des besoins des enfants accueillis.
