Article R24-3 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Within the time limit set by the examining magistrate, the person under investigation shall constitute and, where applicable, publish the security requested, in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable to such security.

Such person may, however, ask the examining magistrate for additional time to constitute or publish the security, providing evidence of the formalities already completed for this purpose.

Article R24-3

Dans le délai imparti par le juge d’instruction, la personne mise en examen constitue et, le cas échéant, publie la sûreté demandée, conformément aux lois et règlements applicables à cette sûreté.

Cette personne peut toutefois demander au juge d’instruction à bénéficier d’un délai supplémentaire pour constituer ou publier la sûreté en justifiant des formalités déjà accomplies à cette fin.
