The purpose of health checks at borders is to prevent the spread by land, sea or air of communicable diseases, in accordance with the provisions of articles L. 3115-1, L. 3116-3 and L. 3116-5 and in particular the implementation of the World Health Organisation’s International Health Regulations.

Le contrôle sanitaire aux frontières a pour objet la prévention de la propagation par voie terrestre, maritime ou aérienne des maladies transmissibles, conformément aux dispositions des articles L. 3115-1, L. 3116-3 et L. 3116-5 et notamment la mise en oeuvre du règlement sanitaire international de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé.
