Article R3115-65 of the French Public Health Code

To be designated to carry out antiamaril vaccination, practitioners must:

1° Hold a diploma attesting to university training in either tropical medicine or travel medicine, or provide proof of professional experience in an antiamaril vaccination centre, or have undergone specific training in antiamaril vaccination;

2° Sign an agreement with a centre designated to carry out antiamaril vaccination, with a view to the supply of antiamaril vaccines. This agreement sets out the terms and conditions;

3° Have the equipment and materials required for vaccinations;

4° Have the equipment and materials required to maintain the cold chain, in particular a medical refrigerator with an internal temperature control system;

5° Have the equipment and medicines required to treat any serious adverse reactions;

6° Comply with regulations on the disposal of waste from healthcare activities involving infectious risk;

7° Undertake to carry out an individual information and advice interview with the patient;

8° Undertake to issue yellow fever vaccination certificates in compliance with international health regulations, bearing the date, batch number of the vaccine, official stamp and signature;

9° Undertake to keep an up-to-date register ensuring that vaccinations carried out can be traced;

10° Undertake to notify the regional pharmacovigilance centre of any adverse reactions that may be due to vaccines, in accordance with the conditions set out in Section 13 of Chapter I of Title II of Book I of Part Five of the Public Health Code.

Pour être désignés pour réaliser la vaccination antiamarile les praticiens doivent :

1° Etre titulaires d’un diplôme sanctionnant une formation universitaire soit en médecine tropicale, soit en médecine des voyages ou justifier d’une expérience professionnelle dans un centre de vaccination antiamarile ou avoir suivi une formation spécifique sur la vaccination antiamarile ;

2° Conclure une convention avec un centre désigné pour réaliser la vaccination antiamarile, en vue de l’approvisionnement en vaccins antiamariles. Cette convention en précise les modalités ;

3° Disposer de l’équipement et du matériel nécessaires aux vaccinations ;

4° Disposer de l’équipement et du matériel permettant le respect de la chaîne du froid, assurée en particulier par un réfrigérateur médical doté d’un système de contrôle de la température interne ;

5° Disposer du matériel et des médicaments nécessaires au traitement des éventuelles réactions indésirables graves ;

6° Respecter la réglementation en matière d’élimination des déchets d’activité de soins à risque infectieux ;

7° S’engager à effectuer un entretien individuel d’information et de conseil du patient ;

8° S’engager à délivrer des certificats de vaccination antiamarile conformes au règlement sanitaire international et comportant la date, le numéro de lot du vaccin, leur cachet officiel et leur signature ;

9° S’engager à tenir à jour un registre assurant la traçabilité des vaccinations pratiquées ;

10° S’engager à déclarer au centre régional de pharmacovigilance les effets indésirables susceptibles d’être dus aux vaccins, dans les conditions prévues par la section 13 du chapitre Ier du titre II du livre Ier de la cinquième partie du code de la santé publique.
